Put students first
Let’s give our students campuses where they can do their best learning and growing, and the support they need.
A Torrance mom of three South High grads, with 38 years as a teacher, award-winning principal, and district administrator, Jennifer Mak gets public education. On November 3, 2026, vote Jennifer for TUSD Board Trustee.

Excellence for the next generation

Jennifer has seen our schools as a teacher, a principal, a district leader, and a Torrance mom.
Meet JenniferJennifer came to America as a teenager with hope, curiosity, and a belief that opportunities were possible. Her parents worked tirelessly to give the family the best they could, and their sacrifices taught her perseverance, gratitude, and service.
“Education became the key that opened doors for me. It shaped my life, expanded my opportunities, and inspired me to dedicate my career to helping others discover their own potential.”
Jennifer and her husband have called Torrance home since 1998, and all three of their children are proud Torrance Unified graduates.

“Public education has been my life’s work for nearly four decades.”
Now, I hope to bring my experience as an educator, school leader, parent, and community member to serve Torrance Unified in a new capacity, as a Board Trustee.

Let’s give our students campuses where they can do their best learning and growing, and the support they need.

Let’s give our teachers everything they need to do their best work: practical resources, time to learn from each other, and room to keep growing.

Let’s make sure every family hears from their school and is heard in return, and team up with local businesses for internships and hands-on career classes.
